Camping
Camping has offered by the PSP / CFB Petawawa, allowing us to return to the Black Bear Campground again. The cost is $5 per person / night and we would ask that people pay at the registration table on Saturday AM.
Black Bear Campground is along the Ottawa River, about a 15 minute flatwater paddle from Golf Course Hole, or conveniently located immediately beside the Jubilee Lodge, home of last year’s awards dinner and after party. The Jubilee Lodge is at the obvious point, just off of Givenche Rd on the CFB Petawawa property.
No excuses for not drinking. Nor any excuses for drinking and driving, so stay the night and paddle the Upper Petawawa (Class IV) or something else locally (high water Ottawa, Petawawa Town Run).
If successful there will be washrooms or portapotties, however running water is not yet confirmed. Free firewood courtesy of the Videto family. Being right beside the Ottawa the canoeing, sea kayaking and fishing is awesome.
